Can the Eurail pass be folded in half? or into three? or is having a crease in the pass frowned upon? I am interested in fitting it in with my passport, but worried if I fold it, i would make the pass void.
I haven't used a pass in years because point to point is cheaper on all but the longest routes. As I recall, folding your pass was no problem - as long as the conductor can see the signature/date for the travel day on your pass clearly.
The pass itself is just a 3-1/4 x 8" paper "ticket", BUT it says it is "only valid with EURAIL cover and passport" so it needs to stay stapled to the "pass cover and travel report". I don't think folding it would void it, but it might be bulky folded in your passport. In 2008 I used a railpass, and I know I removed the "travel report" section and didn't fill it out, but I've since read that they are being more strict now and you must fill out the travel report in order for the trip to be valid. I guess I'll follow directions this year..... I'm sure the corners will get bent in my money belt, though.
Folding it is no problem as long as it remains readable and not in tatters.
