Mom & I will be leaving Dublin Fri May 9th at 10:30am and according to our e-ticket from Cheaptickets.com it says we will arrive in JFK-New York at 1:00pm on Friday.
I thought this was a typo, since I thought we would get there the next day, Saturday.
I really need to know what our arrival date is since we will be making arrangements to get picked up from the airport.

When you fly from NYC to Dublin in the evening you arrive the next day but when coming from Dublin to NYC you arrive the same day.
Your flight home will just seem like a long day. It will be late morning when you get on the plane and it will be early afternoon when you arrive though you have flown 7 hours or so. You "get back" all of those time zones you "lost" on the trip over.
It's the time zone thing and the times on your ticket are correct.
Don't worry - even the most experienced of travellers falls foul of time zone misunderstanding.
I think I'm pretty savvy but I had to PM someone on this board because I couldn't understand why it looked like a flight from Nevada to Florida took over seven hours. It's those crazy time zones again.
