Question about booking through easyJet.com

Hi, I'm trying to book a flight through easyJet, the total fare is €51.48 and below are the breakdown.

-airfare €11.49
-Third-party airport operator charges & government taxes
€20.00
-Speedy Boarding €11.25
-1 hold bag(s) @ €11.00 each
-Travel Insurance €8.99

Can I exclude the speedy boarding option and the travel insurance?

Also, for the hold bag option, if I only have carryon baggage, can I exclude this option as well? How many carryon baggage does easyJet allow each person to carry and what is the weight?

Thanks!

You may exclude the Speedy boarding/ and Travel Insurance. As for the carry on, I have flew Easyjet probably 30 times in two years. They only allow 1 carry on and that includes a purse.

I just flew them two weeks ago and I for the first time saw them make my girlfriend fit her carry on in the holder before giving her the boarding pass. She had to remove items and put them in her checked bag. Thank goddness she had not max her weight on her checked baggage, otherwise it would have been VERY expensive.

Have a great time.

Don't pay for Speedy Boarding -- there is no advantage in taking it. And you can also skip the travel insurance from EasyJet. You should have travel insurance for your whole trip, not just your flight. Check www.insuremytrip.com for lots of options. And of course you don't have to pay to check a bag if you don't plan check a bag. Just be SURE that you're going to meet the weigh/size limit for carryon, or you will have to pay a higher checked bag fee at the airport.

I agree, don't bother with speedy boarding. It is not always enforced at the gate, it depends on the gate staff. In some airports, where you are bussed to the plane, speedy boarders and others are transferred on the same bus and the free for all takes place at the aircraft steps rather than the gate!

If you can't get a seat together just sit back and enjoy the low fare, it's only for a couple of hours. Also the opportunity to maybe watch examples of human nature at it's worst lol!

One of the things I like about Easyjet is that the carry on is dimension -limited but not weight-restricted so I always manage to pack a lot in sometimes eliminating any hold bag. I never bother with Speedy pass or insurance.
