Q. on buying Train Tickets from Germany to Paris

If you purchase a TGV ticket from a city in Germany (we will be in Stuttgart) to Paris on the Deutschbahn site, does the price include your seat reservation? I was looking 90 days ahead of time, and my RT price for 5 people (2 adults and 3 kids) was only $238 euros, which is much lower than what I was quoted last year. I know that even if one has a Eurrail pass, a fee for a seat reservation is sometimes also needed, and sometimes that fee seemed to be higher than buying a TGV ticket, so I am confused. Thanks.

Yes.

If you go ahead and click on "Purchase" it will show you reservtion information (don't worry, you'll go through a few more screens before you have to enter credit card information and actually purchase the ticket). The next screen says, "Trains with reservation obligation included (Fare incl. Res.)" And the total fare above is still the same - no extra reservation fee, reserv is included with the fare.

Note however, that this is a "Savings fare", which is date and train specific with a penalty for exchange or refund up to the day before and no refund after that.
