Is there rail or bus transportation from Fuminico Airport into Rome, and then from Rome to the port to take a cruise ship? Do you know how much it would cost?
We have done this trip a few times as we love to cruise Europe. You can take the train from Fuminico, follow the signs, or check out any Rick Steves book that has Rome in it. Basically about 1/2 an hour and arrives at the Termini train station.
There is a train that heads to Civitavecchio that takes about 1.5 hours. Cost is about 8 euros. You can buy it at the train station. Look for the customer reps and the line ups. Another Rick Steves reader told us about it a few years ago.
Once in Civitavecchio, you walk out of the train station, turn right and head to the stone gate about 10-15 min. walk where you can get shuttles, free, from your cruise ship.
Good luck
Shuttles and taxis cost a mint to go to the port. This is easy. Tip: buy a return ticket for the train, then after the cruise you will be first back on the train to Rome.
