My daughter lost her phone on an Air France flight. The agent at her connecting gate called the AF arrival gate and they confirmed they had found it. They took her contact information and said they would try to mail it but that she needed to make a claim at her final destination. We did this and of course have not heard anything as of yet. It has been over a month now. Has anyone ever gotten anything back they've lost onboard?? BTW it was a blackberry less than 2 months old...any help or advice?? thankyou
Has this question, or one very similar not been recently asked?
Hi Dawn. Did she lose the phone on the way to Europe or to the U.S.? If you made the claim in Europe then it could take a while to process. I haven't lost anything onboard, but my checked luggage got lost on a trip to Europe a few years ago. We were in Europe for 2 weeks and our bags got back to us the night before we returned to the States. You have to be your own advocate in a case like this. Call the airline every day and stay on top of where in the system your claim is.
Yes, Nigel, it was asked on January 20, but got no responses.
