For the last few years we have had no problems buying the Deutschland tickets using Fahrplaner. I even bought one for the month of May. Now I'm trying to buy one for the month of September and I get an error message. ERROR your payment could not be processed. I tried MVV also and got the same error message. Has anyone had this problem? We emailed fahrplaner and they emailed back that Login financial services deals with payment . so now what? I've tried all my credit cards (AMEX and two different Visas) . I'm not sure what to do next. Any ideas?
I had some weird issues with the MVV as well and had success paying with PayPal with the Rheinbahn app. I don’t think my cc was going to get accepted but no problem with PayPal.
I’ve been trying to buy one for September on the HVV switch app and it wants me to buy a ticket for the rest of this month and next month. I was able to get a prorated one last year, but I was told by someone they no longer do that. I won’t need it now so I’ll try again on the first of the month.
I have posted before, and will again. I have had the Deutschland ticket twice now, and have helped several others buy it. Each time I used a company called Tranzer, which markets web solutions to transport agencies, and is recommended by "The Man in Seat 61"...if that has value to you.

Tranzer does charge a small fee, about 3 euro, but you pick the month you need, pay for that month, they cancel the subscription themselves, and they easily take US based credit cards.
There is no prorations of months, but then you can also still get an August pass and not pay for September.
Be aware that the ticket delivery is to your electronic wallet on your phone, so you need to have that set up through Google Wallet or the equivalent Apple product.
