Hello! In December, my family and I are flying to Prague for a few days, then need to travel to Passau, Germany to board a river cruise. We're very excited, but in exploring transportation options it's a lot of transfers/waiting in airports or train stations. I'd prefer to book direct transportation to make it easier on my older parents, and was hoping for some recommendations on private cars. Has anyone used a private driver in Europe, between countries, that you'd recommend? Thank you!
You can get a train from Prague that goes to Passau, Germany with only one transfer in Regensburg, which is very easy. And I would think a train would be more comfortable for your parents than traveling that distance in a car, private driver or not.
That said, you can hire private drivers—there were a few recent threads here that I will post in just a second that addressed that. Keep in mind this is very expensive. You're looking at a minimum of €500 or more each day. But of course, if you have several people traveling, the extra cost for a private car might be negligible compared to separate train tickets for all.

We used their shared van service from Prague to Cesky Krumlov, and then on to Vienna. Excellent service and very friendly driver. They also offer private transfers.
