Anybody have any experience printing tickets bought online from swiss rail while in Europe?
Would like to get a click and rail ticket from sbb.com for a trip from Zurich to Salzburg. You can only buy them one week out though and we will have been in Europe longer than though and would have to purchase and print in Europe.
I know they wanted it printed out as certain quality and i'm just worried about finding a suitable place to print it out while traveling. Will be in Paris and Bern within the 7 day window before taking the train from Zurich to Salzburg. Would love to get that discounted fare of 47sf to save some money!
I've never purchased "click & rail" tickets from SBB, but have printed out tickets for the DB and SNCF. Most any ink jet printer should be okay in terms of print quality. You should have no problems printing out tickets at most any internet café or hotel that has a business center type set-up. Are you sure the SBB site doesn't give you the option of picking up your tickets at a station once you arrive in Switzerland?
Thanks Michael. I'm pretty certain you have to print those tickets out ahead of time. You can do a test print so I suppose if we don't buy ahead of time we could try and a cafe and see how it works out and always find a different internet cafe for better quality if needed.
