We will be visiting Prague in late October and would like to visit Bialystock Poland for one weekend, then return to Prague. What is the best way to travel back and forth? Thanks.

Your easiest option is probably to fly to Warsaw and take the train from there. I traveled the reverse route by train in 2006, Vilnius to Warsaw (which passed through Bialystock) to Krakow to Prague. Each leg of the trip took the better part of a day. Vilnius to Warsaw was particularly slow.
