Apologies if this has already been asked - I am new to the forums and learning my way around! I am getting the Eurail Pass for 4 countries (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Czech Republic) with 8 travel days in 2 months. I am planning on taking the overnight train from Prague to Krakow, Poland (which is apparently not offered on the Pass). From what I understand, I can use my pass for the segment of travel from Prague to the Polish border, and then I have to pay for the rest of the trip to Krakow. Is this correct? And how do I go about paying for that section beforehand, especially with the couchette/sleeper reservation fee? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Popular night trains can sell out weeks in advance so it's wise to book sleeping accommodations ASAP. Rail Europe will sell you a couchette or sleeper reservation. They also may be able to sell you a ticket for the portion from the Polish border to Krakow. If not, you can buy a ticket for that portion when you get to Prague.
Thanks, Tim! I'll check out Rail Europe first and see what they have to say when I book the reservation.
