In case anyone else is waiting for the winter schedule to be loaded on the DB Bahn website: dates 12/12/2010 and beyond will be available on 11/2 (per email from their UK Customer Service office)
"It will be interesting to see if the timetables from the non-German railways are accurate first shot." Amazing. That's an English to English translation and I'm not sure I understand it. But I think so. I think it was just 6 month ago that the Italian Rail schedules were not loaded right away, so for a few weeks it looked like there were not any trains from Verona to Venice.
That's very helpful. Thanks very much, Elaine It will be interesting to see if the timetables from the non-German railways are accurate first shot.
got it in one, Lee
I noticed it up at 4:21 MDT today. Correction: maybe that was 5:21 MDT. My computer's clock was off. It was shortly after midnight, German time.
They are also having a special on train fares that first day or 2. So do check the DB site for more info. I think it is one of those 29 euro to anywhere in Germany thing. (haven't read their entire ad yet)
"... 29 euro to anywhere in Germany thing." That would be a Sparpreis fare.
Got Budapest to Munich for 49E, train-specific, 2nd class and non-refundable. It seems like a good price to me............????
People worry about non-refundable, train specific fares on German Rail, but they buy that kind of fares on airlines all the time.
