We're looking to purchase our tickets now for trips in Germany and to Paris, but heard there was a possible train drivers' strike that may be going on. Anyone know if that has been resolved or should we be concerned? We understand there are no refunds if a strike occurs.
The ICE and Eurostar trains do not go out on strike even when the local trains do. At least that was our experience in Italy in October. Perhaps it's an EU rule for cross border trains, who knows, not me.
This strike is still being negotiated and will not happen before April 12, according to Deutsche Bahn. It will affect private railways, not state-owned. Keep checking the Deutsche Bahn website for updates....
