Another France question:
My husband and I will be in Pontorson, France for a few days in December and want to get to Souillac. What is the best way to get there without a car?

Hire a plane, both have little airports. Otherwise twelve to twenty hours on trains with at least one change before Paris and a St Lazare to either Austerlitz or Lyon change in Paris. If you catch one going through Rennes it might cut it to ten hours and the Pais change would be from Montparnasse to one of the southbound stations. Poor you, unless you break the trip. For general reference, it's an eight hour drive and the closest car rental place might be St Malo.
