Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone has used the bus for travel in Penzance? We will have a car rented and relatives to guide us around for 4-5 days, but I came upon the bus deal while searching the train site. It could give our relatives a break, or allow us to travel to and from Penzance to Helston, near where we will be staying, perhaps, when we arrive and leave? Would it available for a reasonable price if we buy it after we arrive in Penzance? Thank you.

A few years ago we were in Penzance and found good local bus service to number of (nearby) villages. Our favorite was almost a full day in Mousehole. Had enough time to see the village and walk some surrounding fields an paths. So you should be able to find some and give your relatives a break. (Cant comment on Heston or other places- we wanted Mousehole)

Plus Bus is available with a rail ticket. There is a clickthrough on the National Rail site with the rules and coverage areas for each of the schemes.

The local bus service in Penzance is good. We used it to access various areas around Penzance.
