Please verify my train pass usage in Great Britain

My wife and I are traveling to Great Britain and are planning to use public transportation. Here is my trip:
Land in Glasgow Scotland 10:40am. train to Edinburgh. Stay 3 nights.
Train from Edinburgh to York. Stay 1 night.
*Train from York to Liverpool. Stay 2 nights.
Day trip from Liverpool to Conwy, Scotland.
*Train from Liverpool to London. Stay 7 nights.
*Day trip to Stratford-upon-Avon.
*Day trip to Stonehenge & Bath.
*Day trip to Warner Brothers Harry Potter
*Day trip to Chichester, England.

I plan to buy a BritRail England pass [2nd class] (8days travel in 15 days) for the trips in England. We want flexibility in the days we travel and the 8day card will not give us that flexibility. Also we don't want to purchase advance point to point tickets, so the ticket prices will be substantial higher, thus making the England pass affordable. We will purchase regular P2P tickets in Scotland.

When we arrive at the London Euston station we will buy the Oyster Card and get the 2 for 1 deal at the train station. We will be in London the afternoon of one day and 2 full days, and then going to St. Pancras International Station for the Eurostar to Paris. (Already purchased Eurostar ticket.) Since the Oyster Card is capped at 6.40 pounds or 25.60 pounds for the time we are there. (the London travel card is 32.1 for the 1 week. )

My questions are:

Can the England pass work on the trip from Edinburgh to York or the trip to Conwy?

Should I go ahead and purchase the 1 week travel card because it is about the same price?

Can I get the Oyster card/travel card at the Euston station?

Where is the most economical site to purchase the BritRail train pass?

Are they any restrictions I should know about? Anything else I am missing?

Can I purchase the two together card in Glasgow Scotland? If not where can I get it?

Thanks
Chris

Since neither Edinburgh nor Conwy are in England you will need the full pass. Conwy is in Wales and not Scotland.

The '2 for 1' deal is on paper travelcards and not Oyster. You can get both at Euston, the former at the national rail desks, the latter at the underground.

You ought to do the sums as to which days it is better to do point to point rather than use days of the pass (and hence what type of pass). Going to Watford Junction on it only for Harry Potter is not a lot. Liverpool to Conwy would be only £23.80, London to Stratford £28.90, London to Chichester £28.90 etc.

The two together card is available at any national rail station and would reduce the prices above further.

The full BritRail Pass at $487 per person is a better match for your trip than the England pass at $391 (with which you'd have to buy separate tickets for the Scottish or Welsh portion of any trip). There are not date or time restrictions with the BritRail Pass; you can hop onto any train between towns (except not touristy "heritage" steam trains in some rural locations). It actually offers 8 travel days within a one-month window, but that won't matter if your trip is shorter. You cannot buy this pass in Britain, so please use our link above for USA delivery before you leave home.
