Planning honeymoon and need transportation advice.

Hello, my husband and I will be taking a late honeymoon in Europe in a couple weeks. We are flying to Zurich, staying one night and traveling to Colmar, France. After two nights we are traveling to Baden-Baden, two nights later we will be spending a night in Bacharach and then to stay in a Castle in Oberwesel (4 miles away) and then off to Paris. So to sum things up: Zurich to Colmar Colmar to Baden-Baden Baden-Baden to Bacharach Bacharach to Oberwesel
Oberwesel to Paris We are planning on taking the fast train to Paris (but we haven't decided which one yet..I think one goes out of Koblenz which would be convenient) and are up in the air on where to rent a car and where to take a train and what train stops to take. Should we get a rail pass? Thank you for your suggestions. We have taken the train in Italy before so we are semi-familiar. We can't wait!

All the places you mention are accessible by trains and you can start looking for schedules on the German Rail (Bahn) website. From Oberwesel, the best way to Paris might be a regional train to Bingen Hauptbahnhof, then a train to Saarbrücken and a train (TGV) to Paris, but look up the routes on the Bahn. Bacharach and Oberwesel are right next to each other, a short train ride apart. Baden-Baden is part of the Karlsruhe metro transit district, Karlsruhe Verkehrsverbund. You can take an S-Bahn (oversized streetcar, actually) from Baden-Baden to Karlsruhe, then a regional train to Mainz, and another regional train to Bacharach. You could do all the travel with a local KVV ticket from B-B to Karlsruhe Hbf and a Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket (25€ for two) from Karlsruhe all the way to Bacharach.
