April 24th, between 5 and 6 PM. Actually you buy the ticket when it is at the price you can afford. There is no magic date.

I'm looking already for late spring to France and I'm finding some early sales to Europe then right now. I am in no way familiar with the ID market, but here in Atlanta if I find a flight under $800 all inclusive of fees, I get it. Check out http://matrix.itasoftware.com/ for some ideas. The general rule is the best deals are offered Monday - Wednesday but still check other days. Your best bet is to set up a 'fare alert' on tripadvisor.com and other travel search engines.
