We are going from Amsterdam to Brighton. Looks like a plane to Gatwick and then train to Brighton is the way to go. Any other suggestions? Time is important. Thanks.

You can fly very inexpensive from Amsterdam to Gatwick on EasyJet.com. Then, the train line that goes through Gatwick Airport goes right to Brighton. Many Gatwick employees commute from Brighton via train.
