I will be driving from Lagos to Lisbon and would like recommendations of places to see between there. Also, where do I pick up a car rental in Lagos?

Evora is definitely worth seeing. Of course you will have to see the Chapel of the Bones

Setubal is along that route. It is a lovely little town with colorful houses and streets, places to shop and eat. I enjoyed several hours just wandering around.

We rented from zest at the Faro airport, good service and easy access. Zest has a good reputation in that area.
We also enjoyed Tomar and Evora. We stayed at a Pousada/castle in Alvito, the town has little to recommend it beyond the Pousada and a convenient location (close to Evora).
