I am meeting a friend at the Frankfurt airport. I will be flying from the USA, but my friend will be flying from within Europe. We will be taking the train to St. Goar as soon as we meet up. I have suggested meeting at the train station portion of the airport, but having never been at this particular airport before, I am wondering if there is a better place to meet? I am not sure what terminals we both will be flying into, and want to meet after customs check. The map on the airport's website is too generic to tell if there is a better place than the Information Booth at the train station. Any suggestions?

The airport has clearly marked meeting points - go back and look at the map carefully. Look at the airport overview map. Then choose one and meet up there.
Alternatively, you could try and meet up at one of the 'Information booths'. There is one of these as you exit the customs hall for Terminal 1 - B concourse. Actually looking at the map this is also where the exits for concourses A and C are.
If your friend is flying LH then I believe he will arrive at Term 1 which should then make it easy to meet up.

Since you are taking the train to St. Goar anyway, why not meet at one of the train stations? If you are going to go to Mainz via S-Bahn, you'll be using the Regionalbahnhof. There is an information counter by the ticket automats directly under the departures board in the Regbf. There is also a DB Reisezentrum close by. It's not a real big area; you'll probably see each other easily.
If you have rail passes and choose instead to leave from the Fernbahnhof, there is a Lufthansa quick check-in counter in the hallway just before you get to the Fernbf.

Thanks Lee. That was what I was thinking. I saw the Information Booth on the map and thought that was the best place. Good that it is not all that big an area.
