I saw a YouTube video recently where the presenter said that KLM international flights no longer provide pillows for basic economy seats, and I wondered if anyone had recent experience of this?
If it’s correct, I’d like to know in advance , so that I can bring my own for the small of my back.
Their seats are meanly thin already without adding to the backache that will surely ensue!
I’m flying Canada to AMS.
Thank you.
Although I primarily fly British Airways, not KLM, I wonder whether KLM at least will provide a blanket, which might serve the same purpose for a bolster for your back? BA still (for now!) provides us in the “cheap” seats with both a small pillow, with a handi-wipe type pillowcase, and a decent blanket.
Once onboard and in flight, the flight attendants would be heartless to refuse a blanket to any passenger who reports they are freezing in their seat, regardless of what ticket class they bought. The planes are kept colder, rather than warmer, so a blanket should be the minimum they provide, if not a pillow too, for the asking.
Thanks Tom, but I'm talking about KLM which refers to it's cheapest class as Economy, that's why I said basic Economy.
Periscope, it does appear that you do get a pillow and blanket in a pack in Economy, so I'll hope for that.
And yes, I can roll up the blanket, then ask for another one if I'm cold.
Thanks, all.
I flew KLM to Europe on Aug. 17. They do not provide pillows; just a blanket. I am glad that I brought my own.
Thanks, Diane...I'll see if I can find a cheap one to bring along.
How about an inflateable pillow? On our Vitgin flught we were given a pillow. Here is a cool invention how about inflateable backrests for economy seats with lumbar support as a FAA requirement?
I recently found some wonderful travel pillows that work well for many forms of travel. Extremely well constructed, lovely patterns, adjustable sizing, machine washable. They make excellent gifts as well! https://www.camp-in-comfort.com/
