Picking up train tickets in UK when station isn't a pick up location

I am purchasing train tickets from Alnmouth to London and Alnmouth station isn't one where I can pick them up. We will be flying into Edinburgh 4 days prior to this trip - would this be a good location to pick them up?

Why not just buy them when you get to the station?

Because they are much cheaper purchasing them in advance.
