I have read on this board that you need to have the credit card that you used to purchase your train tickets online with when you pick them up at the TGV site-Is this still correct. What happens if you do not have the card with you?
The TGV website also says you will need the credit card you used for purchase to pick up the tickets. I assume that if you don't have the card you can't pick up the tickets. If the orginal card is no longer available you should probably cancel the reservation and remake it with the new card.
This question has come up here before--try searching (using the instructions Kent gives in bold on the main forum page). People dealt with it somehow.
Hi Dianna,
Looks like you will have to try to work something out with the SNCF. Take a look at this thread, which already had a similar discussion:

Yes, I realize the question has come up before, I did Kent's fabulous way of searching (thank you Kent), but the post were not current, so I was wondering if this still applies, and what would happen if you did not have the card.
Rebooking is not a good option as I got one of those super saver fares..
thanks for your replys
Hi Dianna,
In the link I have included above, the post was made just two weeks ago so it is quite current. Use that form suggested in the discussion to contact the SNCF and see what they recommend. Please then post back to let us know what they come back to you with as I predict this will be a recurring question.
thanks steven for your suggestion, I emailed TGV and they will respond within 24 hrs,,I will update the post with their response...
another travel lesson!
