Help! Asking if anyone has had a driver take them from Hanover to Koblenz or Strausburg to Munich. Not interested in driving myself, nor the train, thought a driver would be nice. Any ideas?? Many thanks!
Debbie, by Strausburg do you mean Strasbourg in France?
Yes from Strausburg France
I can understand your not being interested in driving yourself (boring, stressful), but taking the train would be so fast, easy, non-stressful. Germany has a great rail system, the best in Europe. There are several connections from Strasbourg to Munich that are faster than driving and only have one train change, in Stuttgart. There is also an IC in the morning that goes direct (no train change) and a direct TGV connection in the evening. First class full fare would be less expensive than hiring a driver, and, if you are willing to commit to a date and time (which you would have to do with a driver), fares start at 49€ in 1st class. Hannover to Koblenz would also be faster by train than by car. You would change trains in Köln; you could even arrange time between connections in Köln to see a little of the city without leaving the "meter running" with a driver.
The Sixt Limousine and Chauffeur service is available almost all across Germany and neighboring countries. Sixt Also do you expect the driver to also be a tour guide (and be fluent in English) or to just drive you from A to B in a professional manner?
Thank you! I would say be a driver in a professional manner, trying to get from a to b without train, perhaps some english would be helpful.
Looking for a driver to transfer four adults (mini van would be nice) from CroisiEurope Cruise Terminal in Strasbourg, France to Hotel Muller in Hohenschwangau on Friday, 28th. Getting off cruise at 9:00 am or so. Thanks for any help!!
I have not specific information to impart, but in your situation, I'd also ask on boards.cruisecritic.com.
