Paying for hold luggage in advance: Vueling

My husband and I have booked a Vueling flight; our reservation covers one checked bag only. We've just spent 50 minutes being redirected, both online and on the phone, and were unable to pay for an additional checked bag. Any advice for accomplishing this in advance, so we don't have to do it at the airport? Thanks!

Is Vueling operating your flight? If it is not you may not be able to check in an extra bag online and will have to wait until you get to the airport. That is the case for Vueling flights operated by British Airways. Do you have more than two bags? The way you have written your opening sentence suggests that you can check one bag for a reservation for 2 passengers. Each passenger can check a bag.
