Hi experts. I will be driving from Italy and want to know if I need to reserve a parking spot in the Matterhorn terminal Tasch beforehand (if that's even possible), or if I can be confident I'll find a spot when I arrive June 11?
Likewise, do I need to reserve a ticket from there to Zermatt beforehand or is there likely availability on the same day?
Thanks!
I don't know about parking, but trains have no need for advance purchase. There are shuttle trains every 20 minutes that operate just between the Taesch parking garage and Zermatt in addition to the regular trains from Visp that are twice per hour. Cost is 8.60 CHF.
There are a couple of parking garages in Taesch, one right at the station owned by the railroad costing 16 CHF/day, and another across the street costing 11 CHF/Day.

We used the garage at the train station. It is an excellent facility and incredibly convenient.

Trains are mass transit. You can always buy a ticket. Tickets are for a route, not a train. Occasionally it might happen that more people board a train then there are seats, and then people just stand.\
