Parking at train station in Orte Italy

I am considering parking in Orte Italy and taking the train to Rome. Has anyone done this? Was there a free parking lot like the one in Orvieto? I will be leaving my car for 2 nights. Orte works out a little better for me than Orvieto, but I know I can park for free in Orvieto.

Even when there is no free parking lot, I pay to park because it is convenient. You may find space on the street.
