We had our trip pretty well planned out then something occured that now has us flying into Paris on day 1 and on day 6 we have to be in Munich. Starting in Munich, we will have a car but we are trying to figure out the best way to get from Paris to Nice then to Munich on a teacher's salary. :( We are all in our 30's. If we need to stop in Milan or Florence on the way to Munich, we are fine with that. One of the teachers going is a history and art teacher. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Lisa, assuming you've checked all the various rail websites here's an alternative. There are some very cheap offers on Thalys from Paris to Cologne. There are low cost flights from Cologne to Nice on Germanwings.com (Germanwings also connects Paris with Cologne from €19 one-way). AirBerlin.com connect Nice with Munich starting from €19).
