We have decided we are going to Mont Saint Michel, it is going to be a one-day trip from Paris, traveling by TVG, about two hours, then Bus from Rennes about 1 hour? Has anyone done this trip. It is 2 hours less travel time than taking a bus tour. Trying to make the best of our time. And, yes, we know it will be hectic, but we are those crazy Americans that have to see everything..remember..:-)and trying to maximize our $. As always, thanks for your input!

Thanks, we are looking at going on a Tuesday and I was not able to find much information about the bus service in Rennes?

You can see both the train and bus timetables at www.bahn.de. Click on the pull-down menu in the upper right-hand corner for English. After you get summary timetables, click on "Details for all" to see the connecting points.
You can leave Paris as early as 07:05, change to a bus in Rennes, and arrive at Mont St Michel at 10:50. You can leave Mont St Michel by bus as late as 17:15, change in Rennes, and be in Paris at 21:10.
