Anyone had any experiences. I know both will be about $130.00 but I thought it might be a tad more expensive w/ transport to and from the airports.
Eurostar for sure. The simplicity and relaxability (is that a word) make it worth any slight cost difference. And it definitely takes less time to get to central Paris or London.
I agree, Eurostar definately. For a flight you have to show up way early and the airports are not really near the city centre which adds more time and expense. The Eurostar is very nice and quick.
Definitely Eurostar. Quick access, no luggage restrictions (weight), drops you off downtown - and compared to "waiting" at the airport, retrieving checked luggage, and getting to/from airports, it's about the same amount of time!
Blake, as pointed out, even if you can get a flight that is slightly cheaper, the Eurostar is still the best option in all other respects.
I would say DEFINITELY go by train. Airports are a hassle--any London airport will cost you around 15 pounds just to get there from London via train (unless you are driving...) Airports just require more of your valuable travel time. The train is comfortable, convenient, and fun. Enjoy :)
