Paris to London by train

Cost of ticket paris to london on TGV? I went on SNCF website for cost of Chunnel trip on July 10 and it was around 150euros which seems pricey. Is there a better way to purchase this?

Erich,
Eurostar tickets go on sale 90 days prior to a date of travel and tickets are then the cheapest. You've waited way too long and ticket prices will only increase the closer it is to July 10, your travel date. The Eurostar is quite popular and the bargain tickets go quickly. An air fare ticket might be the better bargain but factor in the costs associated with getting to and from both airports which can add up quickly. If it were me, I'd get the Eurostar tickets TODAY.

I just now checked for July 10 on the Eurostar website, and the lowest fares, for afternoon departures, appeared to be 112 pounds, which is about $180 for a one way. You could go there and input a round trip, to see if that makes a difference. Or you could wait to see if the price drops, but that might prove costly if it goes the other way. I suppose that if it were me I would just cough up the dough, but you may want to explore other possibilities such as discount airlines (Easyjet) or buses.
