Paris to Athens or Patras via Train

I'd love to train through through Munich, Belgrade, south through Thessalonika and into Athens. Where do I book this? Sept late thru Oct. No hurry on the trip... I don't care that flying is faster... thanks :-)

I had read that all international train service into and out of Greece was suspended due to their economic problems. I don't know if this is still true. But according to the famous Man In Seat 61, it is. Here's his website for further details: http://www.seat61.com/Greece.htm He shows a train from Belgrade to Sofia, then the need to take a bus from Sofia into Greece. For Paris to Munich, book on http://www.tgv-europe.com/en/, selecting Great Britain as your country and refusing to be redirected to Rail Europe. For Munich to Belgrade, book on http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en. This is also the easiest site to use to check schedules. The Man In Seat 61 has all sorts of other details about routes, booking, etc on the page I linked - start there.

Harold. Thanks for the very direct assistance. I'm ok with the bus. They are pretty funky in Greece... But a fun experience too.
Thanks!
