Due to unavoidable events, we did not purchase our train tickets from Paris to Amsterdam prior to leaving the states. We are now in Paris and plan to leave for Amsterdam on 27/5/2019. We would like to take a train. Any suggestions or comments on experience. Which train line, cost and station connection information would be helpful. Thank in advance.

High speed trains are operated by Thalys and leave from Gare du Nord. Book as soon as possible.
Not sure what you mean by train line and station connection.

There is only one company that runs trains between Paris and Amsterdam, called "Thalys". Website: https://www.thalys.com
If you don't have web access or don't have printer access, just buy a ticket the old-fashioned way. Go to the ticket counter at Gare du Nord and buy it there. As 27th May is only 7 days away, all the cheapest tickets will be sold, you will pay a premium price.
I just looked on the website for 27th May, prices in the range €121 to €155 2nd class. Some trains are already sold out in 2nd class, leaving only €205 in 1st class.
