My son (20 years) and I need to get from Paris to Amsterdam, where he lives. He insists on paying less than 40 euros but the website he's using never works, plus it's in Dutch. I agree about keeping costs down but need to find a site that works so we can purchase our one way tickets for mid-June. Any suggestions? Thanks SO much!
Go to www.thalys.com and tell the website you are living and picking up your tickets in France. If you book early enough you can get a non-refundable/non-changeable "smoove" fare for around 40 euros. You will also be able to print your tickets out at home.
You can also buy them at nshighspeed.nl - there is an option to choose English at the top. You can print out your tickets or have them mailed to your son in Amsterdam for free. They have fares as low as 25euros one way from Paris to Amsterdam.
If the website is in French, have him look for a symbol (sometimes a British flag) he can click on which converts the page to English.
