Hi We are catching a shuttle service in the Arc De Triomphe area. Does anyone know how far is it from District #7 to Arc De Triomphe area? How much would it cost to get there by taxi? Does the metro bus run as early as 5-6am in the morning? Thanks.
More information, please.
By "shuttle service" do you mean either the Air France bus #2 to CDG or the Air France bus #1* to Orly? Both depart from Charles de Gaulle-Etoile (Arc de Triomphe).
Metro trains start running after 05:00; but we need to know the address of your hotel in the 7eme arrondissement to determine which line(s), if any, will start running early enough to get you to Charles de Gaulle-Etoile in time to connect with your shuttle.
Hi TIM,
Here is the address for my apartment 83 Ave de Breteuil. I'm planning to take the shuttle service for Ryan Air from Arc De Triomphe area.
The shuttle bus to Beauvais leaves from Porte Maillot. According to the Journey Planner on the RATP site, this is your earliest route: Take Metro line 6 from Sevres-Lecourbe to Charles de Gaulle-Etoile, departing at 05:41. Transfer to Metro line 1 and take it to Porte Maillot, arriving at 05:58.
A taxi at that early hour will cost around €10 (night rate).
Thanks Tim. Do you know how long it would take to get to Porte Maillot? What time should we plan to leave from our apartment if we take taxi? 5:30?
Do you know how on time is the shuttle sevice bus to Beauvais? Thanks.
The shuttle bus schedule is coordinated with Ryanair's flight arrival and departure times. You must be at Porte Maillot 3hr15min before your flight's departure time and the bus will leave Porte Maillot three hours before your flight is scheduled to leave. See this page on the Beauvais airport site.
According to viamichelin.com, it's 5km from your apartment to Porte Maillot and the driving time estimate is 12 minutes. Even though traffic won't be an issue so early in the morning, I'd allow some extra time to be safe.
Hi Tim,
do you know how much does it cost to go to the Orly airport from our apartment? Do we be taking RER? or bus? Thanks!
You have several choices.
The fastest route would be to take Metro line 6 from Sevres-Lecourbe to Denfert-Rochereau, the RER B to Antony, and the Orlyval driverless shuttle train to either airport terminal. The combined fare is €9.60.
Another choice would be to take Metro line 6 to Denfert-Rochereau and the Orlybus from there to either airport terminal. A single Metro ticket costs €1.60 and the Orlybus costs €6.30.
You also could take Metro line 6 from Sevres-Lecourbe to Place d'Italie, Metro line 7 to Villejuif-Louis Aragon, and bus #285 to Orly Sud. If you are departing from Orly Ouest, take the free airport shuttle bus between the terminals. The Metro ride would require a single ticket (€1.60) and the bus ride would also require a single ticket.
