Paris RER within the city- RATP Interactive Map,Route Planner

I need some help with the "Route Planner" on RATP. Our closest Metro site is both a Metro and RER station (Invalides), so I'll be using the RER within the city some. I've been working with the RATP Interactive Map (very nice I might add, LOVE the total time feature) and have been able to enter our home address and have figured out how to do some Route Planning to sites in town. My problem is when I put in a route that involves the RER I get all kinds of different "Direction: XYZ" (on the same route, same direction, just a little later or earlier). I don't recognize the "direction" most of the time and usually can't find it as a stop or end stop (like Metro would be) on the map (must be outside the city). I know the Metro works with "Direction: (insert end of the line here)", so when I get to the station how does the RER work? Will there be a board or something with all the stops. ie. If I just want to go from Invalides to St. Michel, how does that show up? Thanks!

Nancy...the RER works the same way as the metro, with its destination signs. But, yes, you probably won't recognize many because they're all outside Paris. Using your example, I find that the RER route uses line C in the direction of Versailles-Chantiers and takes six minutes, with the departure and arrival times listed. On the RER platforms, there are boards with all the destinations listed for the next train coming in. They'll stop at all the stations inside Paris, so you shouldn't have any problem.
