Paris RER and Metro Question

Hi, we will be arriving at the CDG airport and trying to figure out the exact route to get to our apartment by using the RER and metro (since it is the cheapest way). Can someone plase help?

  1. From CDG airport to Ave de Breteuil

  2. From Ave de Breteuil to ORY airport

Thanks!

Here is the website for the metro (includes RER): http://www.ratp.info/informer/anglais/. I found this website very helpful to plan my routes while in Paris. If you are not sure of the metro/RER stop, type the address into Google maps, zoom in, and the metro/RER stop will display. I found it easier to plug in the stop I wanted rather than the address. Hope this helps!

Just one other note: If you do use the previously mentioned website, make sure you change the date/time at the bottom to a decent hour. With the time difference, you could be planning a route for 3 am Paris-time, and thus, not get all of your options or good info.

The street address of your apartment will determine your best route. The closest metro station to the north end of avenue de Breteuil is Saint-Francois-Xavier and the closest station to the south end is Sevres-Lecourbe. To get to either station, take the RER B from CDG to Denfert-Rochereau. Take metro line 6 to Sevres-Lecourbe. Or take either metro line 4 or 6 to Montparnasse-Bienvenue and then line 13 to Saint-Francois-Xavier.

To get to Orly, first go to Denfert-Rochereau. The fastest route from there would be to take the RER B to Antony and then the Orlyval driverless shuttle train to Orly. A cheaper option would be to take the Orlybus from Denfert-Rochereau directly to Orly.

For detailed information, including photos, on taking the RER from CDG to Paris, see the Paris by Train site.
