Paris Navigo and Paris museum pass or just paris pass

Hi members, I’ll be in Paris from a Monday to Saturday. and it looks like purchasing a Paris museum pass and a Navigo card is a better deal than purchasing just the Paris Pass. I’ll be going to the museums plus Versailles. Any thought on the difference in passes. Also, can i photocopy a picture or do I need an actual picture to tape to the Navigo card. Thanks in advance for your input.

Just photocopy your passport photo and you can insert it onto the pass (no need to bring tape) which then goes in a plastic case. It has to be trimmed to fit so take nail scissors with you, lol. Trust me on this!

The Paris Pass is a commercial deal with a bunch of stuff that is either free or that you won't use. Navigo and Museum Pass are definitely your best bet.

Do work out which days you want to do what so you can accommodate the museum closure days. I'd try not to do d'Orsay on Tuesday when Louvre is closed. Last Oct every time I went by on a Tuesday - either morning or afternoon - the Museum pass entrance line was huge. Best to do that on another day.

You’re absolutely correct, get the Paris Museum Pass and the Navigo Découverte weekly pass.
You can certainly copy a photo, just make sure it’s the correct size 1” by 1.25”.
I just scanned my passport and decreased the size to get the photo for my ND pass.

Please beware that you need to get a timed entry for the Louvre.

Enjoy your time in beautiful PAris!

Pam and Priscilla,
Thank you for your quick responses and validating what I was thinking.
And thank you for the museum tips.

I love the Navigo card to use for the metros, so I could go anywhere without thinking about “Should I just walk and save a ticket?” Personally, I love the Luxembourg Garden, so there was no reason to not hop over there more often.

And the Paris Museum pass is wonderful! Stop in for a few minutes at a few extra museums you might not consider if you had to pay full price. We stayed at some much longer than expected, and a couple others were more just a quick browse and use of the toilets.

One thing that has changed this year is that the Museum Pass only allows you one entry into each museum.

Acaven,
I had the Paris Museum Pass a few years ago and just told my friend it’s good because you can revisit the museums but then I read this morning that they stopped that. That was a good feature. Since this is her first time visiting,, it’s ok because there are so many other things to do in one week.

Jean,,
I also love the Luxembourg Gardens. I usually stay right down the street from there and visit daily. This time Ill be in the Marais, but will find the best metro to get there.
