I am having a hard time finding a schedule on-line that I can read..Anybody know of one? Trying to determine how long it would take to get from Versailles to CDG on a Sunday- one hour? Thx

steve, The website in the previous reply is an excellent resource, and should give you an idea on the route from Versailles to Paris / CDG. I did a brief calculation, and one suggested route is: > Take RER C from Versailles Rive Gauche to Saint-Michel > Transfer to RER B to CDG Estimated time: 40 minutes (I'd allow extra time) There is more than one Versailles station, so the time may vary if you're using a different station. Happy travels!

Fourty minutes ain't enough. I'd figure closer to an hour and a half, and that's if you don't mis-step at Saint Michel which has two north-bound trains working the same platform.

Darn near did that last time Ed... My wife, kid, and most of our luggage on board before a very nice gentleman advised us we were in the wrong train! Steve

Ed is spot on! According to the Journey Planner on the RATP site, it will take 90 minutes to get from Versailles-Rive Gauche to CDG. Take the RER C from Versailles-Rive Gauche to Saint-Michel Notre-Dame. Transfer to the RER B and take it to either CDG 1 or CDG 2 TGV. Be aware that the RER B line divides northeast of Paris. Be sure to get on a train that is going to CDG. The closest train station to Giverny is at Vernon and it does not have lockers. You can take either a bus or a taxi from Vernon to Giverny. Or you can rent a bike.

Ditto all. The Paris By Train site has the info in English; lots of helpful photos, too. The RER schedules, although they say 2007, are current (at least the ones I've looked at recently), so don't let that throw you. You'll learn how to tell at-a-glance express trains from regular ones, and how to tell which ones go to the airport. If you have an 11:00am flight, you need to be ON THE TRAIN in Versailles by 7:35am AT THE LATEST. A good thing about your correspondance at 'St-Michel' is that there's only these 2 RER lines that meet there (there is a metro line nearby), so there's only 2 levels. Yea! So, I'd do it...if I REALLY wanted to stay in Versailles...
