Paris Metro

My wife and I are arriving at Gare du Nord in Paris on August 5 and want to use the metro to travel from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon. So, we only need two tickets, one each. I see that paper tickets are no longer available.

How do you purchase two single tickets for the Paris metro?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Paper tickets are still available. It's packs of paper tickets that have been eliminated. You can buy them in a ticket machine at the entrance to the metro.

Just a build - does the Paris Metro accept contactless payment now? Like the Tube or NYC Subway?

There's an official stored-value transit card called Navigo that you can use (also an Android app) but it doesn't accept contactless credit/debit card payments, if that's what you're referring to.

Thanks for all the help. Looks like we may be able to use our iPhones. Since we're only taking the Metro once and paper tickets are, in fact, available, we'll probably just buy two. We'll be back later this year for a longer stay so this information will be very helpful then.
