Hi There, I am thinking of taking a trip using Eurail passes to Paris, Madrid and Lisbon with a friend between August 12th and 19th which will originate and end in Paris. We really need some help planning our route and any help would be greatly greatly greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Rene. These cities are very far apart; you would be spending most of your hours on a train. You might consider any or all of: 1. fly into one city and home from another. 2. limit to two cities. 3. consider flying instead of train. try web sites whichbudget.com or skyscanner.com for cheap flights.

Yes, the Madrid-Lisbon leg in particular can only be done by overnight train or a very slow daytime trip with three changes. If you really want those three cities I'd fly.
