Paris Est Train Station To Disneyland Paris

So, I have to ask...my son and I arrive at the train station at 9:30 A.M. on a Sunday morning and I'd love to know how to get us out to Disneyland Paris. Neither of us has been to Paris so we'd love every morsel of help.

From Disney, we're heading back into Paris for 5 days and I'd love to get some ideas on doing that too. Much thanks.

First off you arrive at what train station? How old is your son and what interests him? Are you coming in from London on the Eurostar? The RER line A-4 to Marne-la-Valle-Chessy (make sure the line ends at Marne-la-Valle-Chessy as it spilts) takes you to Disneyland Paris and as I recall it was posted on the train and lighted station boards as Disneyland Paris. Do yourself a huge favor and buy a RS Paris 2009 book and a Street Wise Map of Paris (www.streewisemaps.com). You're flying blind here. P.S. Sunday is a very busy day at Disneyland. Go on say Tues instead. Remember it will be hot and humid (as I guess you are going in the summer). Get an air-conditioned room.

I haven't done this but CLICK HERE for a really nice Paris metro map. You can enlarge it and move around. The Gare de L'est station is just to the right of the word "PARIS" on the map. You are looking to get to the A4 which is the horizontal red line going off to the right of the map. Disneyland is at the end of the line.

Lisa, the Eurostar, Thalys, and TGV all have service direct to Disneyland Paris. So it's possible you may not need to transfer at one of the big stations in Paris. Also, if this is the day you are arriving to Paris via a transatlantic flight, be aware that the theme park is closer to CDG than it is to the city center. Thus it would be quicker to take a train or shuttle bus direct to DL, instead of having to go all the way into Paris.

At Gare de l'Est buy single tickets (€6.45) to Marne-la-Vallee - Chessy. Take metro line 4 to Chatelet. Follow the "correspondance" (connections) signs and walk through the tunnels to the Chatelet-Les Halles RER station. Take the RER A4 to Marne-la-Vallee - Chessy.
