Our departure info...
Dropping off car 10/09 at CDG Terminal 3 (Renault USA), and leaving next morning from Terminal 2E (Air France).
After the drop off, we then need a "reasonably priced" hotel that's not going to have us running all over the place that night and next morning. Any thoughts or suggestions? Also has anyone dropped off there with Renualt? If so, any comments on getting into the drop off area itself, and the return of the car? Thanks.

It is a short walk from Terminal 3 to the RER B station at CDG 1, I have done it many times and it can't be more than 300 meters. There is an Ibis Hotel right there, and then in the morning you can get yourselves to 2E.

Thanks. I saw the Ibis hotel when I did a search but at one point it looked like there was more than one right there. It looks like it is the one that says "Hotel Ibis Charles de Gaulle Aéroport / Terminal". I'm guessing that throughout the airport you simply go by tram from one terminal (or the hotel) to another, without too much trouble?

There is an automated train system between terminals called CDGVAL. The Ibis front desk can tell you about it. By the way, there are several Ibis hotels at CDG so make sure you book at the one right near (almost at) Terminal 3.
Just about at the entrance to the Ibis there are stops for 2 Paris buses, the Nos. 350 and 351, which will take you into the city if you wanted to spend a few hours there on your last day in France. Costs 3 tickets which you can buy from the driver.
Haven't used the car rental drop-off at Term. 3 since the days when it was called Terminal 9, so I can't help you there. Surely Renault will give you good directions?
