Paris AirBnB to Paris CDG Airport

Hello,
My husband and I will be traveling to Paris soon and we will be staying at an AirBnB. We are planning on using the taxi stand which waits outside the airport in a designated area, to get a ride to our apartment. My question is what we should do regarding transportation back to the airport for our return flight home? Any recommendations are appreciated (our flight leaves from Paris Airport at 5 pm). Thanks.

Connie, it would be helpful if you would provide the area in which the AirBnB is located. Do you know how near it is to a Metro stop and that stop's name?

Hi, Connie, I used the G7 app based on recommendations here, and ordered a cab a couple of days before. It was so easy to order a taxi for 7 am and I paid through the app. The taxi arrived about 10 minutes early, put our luggage in the car and we were off in no time. It was very convenient and I highly recommend it. The cost was €72 plus a €6 service fee (from the 6th) and it was definitely worth the price.

Here's a link to their website and you can download the app from there: https://www.g7.fr/en

Cost for a taxi between CDG and the city:

Left Bank : €56

Right Bank: €62

When you are going from your AirBnB to the airport, you will undoubtedly want to reserve ahead, either via the G7 app, or their English-speaking reservation line.

There is a 7€ fee to reserve ahead of time (and you do want to reserve a day or two before you need the taxi.

So full price from your AirBnB to CDG, depending on where in Paris the AirBnB is located:

Left Bank: €63

Right Bank: €69

If you order a van taxi using the G7 app for the trip to the airport, the cost will be higher than the standard amount. This happened to me in March of this year when I listed three passengers and G7 sent a minivan for us. I was traveleling from near Bastille metro station and they charged my credit card more than 63€ and when I reached out to G7 to ask why that happened, they sent me an email that said that they charge more for reserved van taxis. Note that same taxi would have been 56€ if I had gotten it from the taxi line at CDG or if I had been able to flag one down on the street. When I was traveling to the airport alone in May from the same spot in a sedan taxi, the charge was as noted above.

Thanks everyone for the great information. Our AirBnB is on George V, in the 8th arrondissement. It is very near the George V Metro station.

This is another area I am baffled about - traveling on the Metro to see the sights in Paris. We plan to walk to as many of them as possible, for example the Eiffel Tower which is suggested as a 20 minute walk. However, Notre Dam and the Marias and Latin Quarter are suggested as an hour, or a bit more, walking distance (according to Google Maps).

Do you all have any recommendations regarding the use of the Metro (is it "safe" for a couple of seniors with NO experience in riding mass transit), or we are thinking Uber might be a better alternative (though we know a more costly one), for the places which are a longer walking distance from our AirBnB?

Thanks again.

I am a senior and I have always found the Metro to feel safe. I suggest watching a few You Tube videos on how to use it and then use the app City Mapper to help you navigate it. I would also suggest buses are a great option and you can see Paris as you ride to your destination. City Mapper helps with this, too.
