Hmm, I got excited... I wondered if Frankfurt would finally get a Thalys extension, but I guess I'll have to keep waiting.
Frankfurt has got access to the ICE and TGV high speed networks to Cologne, Amsterdam and Paris. At some point in future they do want to extend the Thalys line from Brussels via Cologne to Frankfurt. But that's not gonna happen in the next two years. From your new favorite Mannheim you've got ICE connection to Frankfurt Airport with just a 30 mins journey time (no need for seat reservation IMO). FRA airport to Cologne is just one hour. Also no need to back track via Frankfurt Hbf. Mannheim by the way has got its own ICE (3:09 hrs) and TGV (3:11 hrs) connection to Paris, so no need to back track via Frankfurt either.
"From your new favorite Mannheim" Ah, you remembered!
just like i emailed Ricksteves.com about apps, more companies better start creating them for the google android platform.
palm is almost obsolete, bberry apps run on a dinosaur software.
apple and android are the best mobile software out there and android is growing at a huge rate and unliek apple can run multiple programs at the same time.
ricks company said they will look into it.
Companies though must realize the iphone is not the only smart phone out there and travelors will want great travel apps too
