Using the gwr.com site to try to purchase tickets from PAD TO BTH and no matter what date I plug in the price does not change. $46.oo for a single ticket. I was sure I read on this forum that advance tickets are more like in the $23 dollar range.
This is what I would like to do;
Leave around 9:30am on October 3 from PAD TO BTH for 2 adults
Return from BTH TO PAD on October 6 after 9:30am for 2 adults
Can someone tell me what price an advance ticket is? Or maybe I am too far in advance and the sale prices are not listed yet? I mean I'm seeing some prices in the 600 dollar range and that seems crazy, so figure I must be doing something wrong.

Are you doing one way (single) or return? When I put in a date it shows £23 for one way (single), one person. If you choose return it will change to £46. If you put in one way (single) but 2 people it will be £46. So, you're probably putting in 2 people or using return instead of single.
Right now £23 = $29.50 (approx)

Thanks everyone, I don't know what I did wrong the first time, but I successfully purchased the tickets for the advance price of $23.00 pp. Happy!
