Have any of you traveled with PacSafe products? I'm wondering how their secure mesh lining goes through airport security, both domestically and in Europe?
I used the PacSafe 100 last summer and had no problems at any of the airports with it (domestic and international).
Thank you for the replies! Did you bring the PacSafe items on the plane with you or did you check them in?
Thanks again!
Laura - No problem with the PacSafe products as carry on items. Have taken the tote and the CitySafe 100 bags with me on several different trips - always as carry on.
I was recently in Paris for two weeks, carried my PacSafe City Safe 200 with me everywhere and absolutely loved it. No problems whatsoever at the airports. I can't believe how much I can fit into it. I brought only one small carry-on and my PacSafe bag. Perfect for traveling light.
My wife used the Pacsafe citysafe 200 for two trips to Europe this year and really loved it. It carried all her diabetic supplies and much more. The mesh lining caused no problem going through airport security.
Good luck.
love my PacSafe Metro 200 bag! Took it on the plane and had no problems going through security.
I've used their waist wallet, and I like it. However, it has a metal cable going through the belt portion in order to prevent anyone from robbing you by cutting the belt, grabbing it, and then and running off. However, I've had to remove the entire waist wallet for inspection because the cable set off the metal detector. Kind of inconvenient, but no big deal...
Laura,
As the others have mentioned, you should have no trouble travelling with PacSafe products. Any bags you're taking will have to go through the X-Ray machine (rather than walking through the metal detector), and the "secure mesh lining" will be easily visible. I've never heard of anyone having problems with these.
Happy travels!
