Hello, Myself and a friend wish to travel from Munich to Budapest on an overnight train in early January. I have attempted to purchase tickets online through various websites including DB Bahn. However, this website tells me the tickets cannot be purchased online. Is there a way for me to purchase these tickets online? Thanks so much for your help.

I just went online at the Bahn website for 6 Jan 2011. You're right, they don't sell tickets for the night train. However, I found lots of day connections from Muenchen Hbf to Budapest Deli pu and Keleti pu in about 7 hours. A lot were direct RailJet to Keleti pu. Those had an advance purchase Europa-Spezial fare of €39. Some of the trains say that they don't run every day, but I found trains every day.
