I couldn't clearly find if there is an overnight train that goes from Munich or Salzburg. I see night trains but can't tell if they are sleepers. Has anyone done this before?

I don't recall that there is much (or any) night train service that goes to Nice. Rome/Paris, Venice/Paris, Turin/Barcelona trains all enter France but none seem to go to Nice. If you want a night train from Munich to Paris, there is a great night train on www.bahn.de that departs at 20.53. 9hrs later, you are in Paris. No train changes. I can see a 29Euro special opportunity on the site. But then, you need a train from Paris to Nice. That won't be fun. Or, you can fly. GermanWings and Air Berlin both have flights from Munich to Nice.
